20+ Years Of Dental Excellence
Get To Know Dr. Alessandra Coelho
Before coming to the United States, Dr. Alessandra Coelho spent more than 20 years as a dentist in her home country of Brazil. She received her dental education from UFPA, holds dual degrees as both a dentist and an orthodontist/facial orthopedic specialist in Brazil, and operated her own clinic in Brazil for 18+ years.
Originally, Dr. Coelho came to the United States to seek advanced training to help her run her own dental clinic more effectively. She moved to the U.S. and obtained an Executive Practice Management certificate program from the University of Florida during 2016-2017.
Initially, Dr. Coelho lived in the U.S. part-time, flying back to Brazil every month to see patients and manage her practice. But after falling in love with the country, Dr. Coelho decided to attend the International Dental Graduate Program at Nova Southeastern University. Through this program, she could validate her Brazilian dental credentials and obtain her U.S. dental degree.
And that’s exactly what she did! After graduating from Nova Southeastern University with her DMD, Dr. Coelho opened up Boutique Smiles. Over her 20+ year dental career, Dr. Coelho has served more than 4,000 patients. She’s excited to have the opportunity to use her years of experience to provide top-notch dental care to patients in Plantation and the surrounding areas of South Florida.
Outside of the office, Dr. Coelho loves spending time with her husband, and her three teenage children keep her quite busy, too. When she has time, she enjoys catching the latest movies in the theater, reading a good book, and staying active at the local gym.
Meet Your Dentist
Dr. Camila Di Giorgio
Dr. Camila Di Giorgio is from Brazil, with dental degrees from both Brazil and the United States, and over 20 years of experience dedicated to clinical care, teaching, and leadership in the field of special care dentistry. She graduated from the University of São Paulo in 2003 and completed a specialization in Functional Maxillofacial Orthopedics in Brazil, where she maintained a private practice for a decade focused on patients with special needs.
After moving to the United States, Dr. Di Giorgio completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Lee Specialty Clinic (LSC), an NYU Langone site exclusively serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University in 2017.
From 2018 to 2023, she founded and directed Minty Dental Studio in Florida, successfully growing the practice while maintaining her focus on patient-centered care. In 2023, she returned to Louisville, KY, to assume the role of Dental Director at Lee Specialty Clinic, where she led interdisciplinary care for adults with IDD, including those with complex behavioral and medical needs. She also served as Clinical Director for the NYU AEGD Residency Program at LSC and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, training residents and students in clinical and behavioral management of patients with special needs.
In addition, Dr. Di Giorgio has worked as a consultant and trainer with Kramer Davis, supporting dental teams nationwide in clinical practice, patient management, and business operations. She is a frequent lecturer at national and international conferences, where she presents on the care and treatment of patients with special needs.
Now relocating back to Florida, Dr. Di Giorgio will begin seeing patients at Boutique Smiles starting in January 2026, providing compassionate and comprehensive dental care for both patients with special needs and neurotypical patients.
Dr. Di Giorgio is fluent in English and Portuguese, with intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
Outside the office, she loves traveling the world, spending time and playing with her six dogs, being with family and friends, going to the beach, and staying active through different physical activities.

The First Visit Experience
What to Expect
Our office is conveniently located in a first-floor suite. Plus, our building offers free parking, making your visit even more hassle-free. Once you enter our office, you’ll check in with our front desk team. You may need to fill out a couple of forms if you haven't already filled them out online. After that, you’re free to relax in our comfortable waiting area.
Next, one of our dental team members will bring you back to an operating room. You’ll meet one of our dentists, then they'll perform a comprehensive exam complete with X-rays and an oral cancer screening.
After this, your dentist will discuss the findings and your overall oral health with you, and any next steps or further treatments you may need to keep your smile healthy.
The next step is a comprehensive teeth cleaning. One of our dental hygienists will scale, polish, and floss your teeth. Not only does this remove harmful plaque and bacteria buildup, but it also keeps your teeth smooth, bright, and shiny.
As the final step, you’ll check in with our front desk team one final time to schedule your next checkup or any necessary follow-ups. Then, you’ll be on your way!
